Do Christian Abusers Go To Heaven?

Hello friends! It’s been a while since I’ve written on the blog. Sorry about that. I kinda lost my motivation to write for a little bit. But I had an idea to write about this because I’ve been abused all my life. I have had 4 abusers in my family who have hurt me, and one of them is finally dead. The Lord told me that he took him out because of the abuse that he caused me and I wondered where he ended up. I know that the bible tells us that it’s not up to us to determine who goes where. But based on the evidence in the bible, we can come to a conclusion.

Based on the evidence that the Lord himself removed him from the earth, that’s strong reason to believe that he is in hell. However, I struggled to believe that my abusive uncle was in hell because he was supposedly a “christian” when he was alive. He didn’t go to church as an old man, but he often prayed and talked to priests whenever he got sick (which was often because he refused to take care of himself). In front of them he was holy. But behind closed doors he was mean, self neglectful, entitled, and tried to expose himself to me multiple times. He used to live with us and I was TERRIFIED of being around him. I was constantly afraid that he was going to try to expose himself to me again. When I told my family about it, nobody took my side or thought it was that serious. “He’s mentally ill.” “You’re still not over that?” “He didn’t mean it.” My family filled my brain with excuse after excuse for him. Not seeing my pain or caring about it. I talked to God about it and he heard my cry. He told me he was going to kill him in 2 years for what he did to me. And sure enough he died 2 years later. God protected me and saw right through his facade.

But even though God protected me from him, I still wondered whether he was in heaven or hell. I prayed to God about it and I found a video that explains that abusers, even if they are “christians” don’t usually go to heaven. And if they do go to heaven it’s because they actually changed and became better people and APOLOGIZED TO YOU. In the video she argued that since you need to repent in order to become a Christian, and abusers typically never have true repentance, then that means they were never actually Christians to begin with. And honestly after she said that I completely agreed with her. My uncle never owned up to even admitting that he did that to me before he died, and he never apologized. He never even changed. He was stubborn til the day he died in a nursing home that he refused to leave, even though they weren’t giving him his medicine. He was terrible til the very end. And that’s why he’s in hell.

I found some scripture verses that align with this thought process and I’ll link them down below. I’ll also link the video I’m referencing down below too! Go check it out guys! Thanks for reading! I love you!

James 1:20 GNTD

[20] Human anger does not achieve God's righteous purpose.

James 1:26 GNTD

[26] Do any of you think you are religious? If you do not control your tongue, your religion is worthless and you deceive yourself.

1 John 4:20-21 GNTD

[20] If we say we love God, but hate others, we are liars. For we cannot love God, whom we have not seen, if we do not love others, whom we have seen. [21] The command that Christ has given us is this: whoever loves God must love others also.

Matthew 15:8 GNTD

[8]  ‘These people, says God, honor me with their words, but their heart is really far away from me.
