Schizophrenic Lore

Hello friends! I have had something on my mind for YEARS now. I feel like the Lord told me something about his life before I had my psychotic episode. But it was so close to my episode that I doubted the truthfulness of it altogether. But I've been thinking about the gospels lately and I believe it lines up with the bible. The thing that the Lord told me was that He and his mom didn't really get along. He told me that his mom internally despised him for ruining her reputation, and she felt like she had to measure up to him in terms of holiness. He also told me that she felt relieved when he died. Like everything she went through was over.

This made sense to me at the time because of the way Jesus talked to his mom whenever she was around. The first example is in John during the wedding in Cana.

 John 2:3-5 NKJV

[3] And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”[4] Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.”[5] His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

I don't know about yall, but if I talked to my momma like that she would beat me. Many people try to explain this away because he eventually performed the miracle, but this clearly shows tension between them.

Another example is in Matthew when Jesus was preaching to a crowd. He saw his Mom and siblings and basically said they were not his family.

Matthew 12:46-50 NKJV

[46] While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him. [47] Then one said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.”[48] But He answered and said to the one who told Him, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” [49] And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! [50] For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”

Bro literally pointed to his disciples and said they are his REAL family, not his momma and siblings.

Another example of this beef is in Mark when his family tried to restrain him and called him crazy.

Mark 3:21 NIV

[21] When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”

This shows Jesus's beef with his Mom because his mom literally knew he was the Son of God and she never said anything to her other children about Jesus. She let them run with thinking that Jesus was crazy and didn't stop them.

Another thing I think about all the time is when Jesus died and resurrected, he didn't ever visit his Mom. He visited his disciples but not his Mom. People assume he did, but it's never explicitly recorded.

And I will leave this post with a final quote by Jesus that perfectly sums up his family life.

Mark 6:4 GNTD

[4]  Jesus said to them, “Prophets are respected everywhere except in their own hometown and by their relatives and their family.”
