God Speaks In Many Different Ways

Hello, my friends! For quite some time in my walk with the Lord, I used to feel really insecure about the way the Lord speaks to me. Many times when people say that the Lord speaks to them, they say that they hear an audible voice, or a whisper in their ear, and I don't really be hearing Him speak to me like that very often. The way the Lord mostly speaks to me is through signs, repetition, and through my senses (like I *feel* God when He speaks to me through other people). The way God speaks to me is very sense-based, so I used to feel very insecure about my messages because I didn't know for certain a lot of the times if I was feeling God, or just my own emotions. And on top of that, I would see a lot of messages at church, that talk about how we can't rely on our feelings, and that we have to just trust God. And that would make me distressed and confused because I would hear God through my feelings. I know now that they were referring to human emotions and not Godly sensing, but at the time it made me feel really insecure in myself. But after having a conversation with someone who also doesn't hear God audibly, I realize that I am not the only person who is like this. Many people hear God in many different ways, and no version of hearing is placed above any other version. God can (and does) speak to all us, and He knows how to get a message across! So don't stress out about your hearing method. God can certainly get a message across to you in a way that you can understand and know that it's from Him!

“Father, bring glory to your name!” Then a voice spoke from heaven, “I have brought glory to it, and I will do so again.” The crowd standing there heard the voice, and some of them said it was thunder, while others said, “An angel spoke to him!””
