Sin Does NOT Separate Us From God!

Hello friends! I want to talk about sin and the effect it has on our relationship with God. Many churches proclaim a message that says that sin separates us from God but that is NOT TRUE! The bible says that there is NOTHING that can separate us from God's love and since God is LITERALLY love, then there is nothing that separates us from God, INCLUDING SIN! Sin can only mess up our relationship with God if we choose to focus on it. God forgives and forgets! And that can be shown with all the verses that tell us that God is with us and will never abandon us. Even to the extent of if someone went to hell, God said that He'll still be with us! And God is a promise keeper so when He says something then He'll do it! So the next time you hear someone tell you that sin separates you from God, let em know that it doesn't!

'And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.'

If you aren't reconciled with God through Jesus, SIN IS SEPARATING US FROM GOD. You are right when you say that nothing can separate us from the love of God. But this means that God will never stop loving us. I just don't want you to be leading people astray from the Lord. If sin didn't separate us from God, why would Jesus sacrifice His life for us? Why couldn't all people go to heaven? SIN SEPARATES US FROM GOD. God wants us to have a relationship with Him. If a person IS saved their sin doesn't separate them from God. If a person IS NOT saved, their sin is separating them from eternal life abiding in God.

Isaiah 59:1-2 (NKJV) says, "But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear."

Thank you for your comment. I try to illustrate points clearly in my blog posts and podcasts episodes, but you've helped me to realize that I didn't make this as clear as I could have. In Isaiah 59:2 it's referring to God not rescuing the Israelites because of their lack of repentance. God will NOT rescue someone out of trouble that is due to their sins if they refuse to repent. However, He will NOT spiritually leave them and you will STILL be counted as His child even if you sin. It says throughout the bible that God will never leave nor forsake us and that He is always present. (Ie: Matt 28:20, Duet 31:8, Psalm 139:8) The bible also…
