Let's be petty. God aint no man and here is where He says that:
Numbers 23:19 ESV
"God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? "
1 Samuel 15:29
"And also the Glory of Israel will not lie or have regret, for he is not a man, that he should have regret.”
Hosea 11:9
"I will not execute my burning anger; I will not again destroy Ephraim; for I am God and not a man, the Holy One in your midst, and I will not come in wrath."
Looooool (this is a joke) I know these verses are referencing humankind as a whole and not just men identified humans. HOWEVER even though this is a joke, there is still tea to be served with these verses. God has explicitly said that He is not a human; in the sense that He is not like humans in the way they behave, and He is not gendered like humans. Gender is a social construct (which means gender was created by humans) and God does not operate in human ways. God is spirit, so that makes Him more flexible than us, to not be bound to the foolishness and fleeting ways of this world. It makes Him able to be the most perfect God for us. So the next time someone tries to tell you that God is a man, just show them these verses and let them know that God is not like a human period, and that is ultimately for our good.
John 4:24
"God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
